192bit and 256bit GTX550 TI & AMD HD6870 Sapphire 1GB card(s) real difference?

Alright well, my budget is pretty much maximum $200AU but I would preferably like to spend as much less as possible. However here is my question:

The Nvidia GeForce GTX550TI EVGA edition is a good card from what I have read, runs at 951MHz and 4356 effective clock. However what I am unsure about is, is this card is a 192bit GPU. I was looking at AMD's range and I came across the HD6870 and saw it runs at 900MHz and 4200MHz effective clock, and this card was a 256bit GPU. I did compare the fill rates on either one of the cards the GTX550TI has a fill rate of 28.8 (billion/sec) and the ATI HD6870 has 28.8 Gigapixels/second pixel rate and 50.4Gigatexels/second texture rate. Now what I am wondering is, first what card is better and does the bit/rate difference really make a LARGE difference?. Thanks|||The 6870 is *significantly* faster than the GTX 550 Ti. The 550 Ti, is a lower end card. The 6870 is a mid range card. The non-Ti GTX 560 offers is on par with the 6870.|||Go with the AMD 6870 if you have a 500watt or bigger Power Supply or a close second GeForce GTX 560 both under $200

Stay away from the 550's|||The hd 6870 owns the 550 (which was made to compete with the 6770's) aim for that
